In a subtle tribute to the 1984 fragrance of the brand, the new reimagined scent reflects authenticity, elegance, and innovation—staying true to Lacoste’s emblematic codes. Centdegrés collaborated with Lacoste to craft the collection’s brand world that captures the essence of movement, refinement, and the sporting spirit of René Lacoste himself.
The partnership entailed a global rebranding of this iconic fragrance, reinterpreting its flacon, packaging, and retail experience. The mission was to preserve the essence of the original while ensuring its relevance for a new generation. The bottle design strikes a balance between legacy and contemporary sophistication, embodying the effortless elegance of the Lacoste brand with a minimalist yet distinctive silhouette.
The refined color palette captures the timeless and sporty-chic spirit of the fragrance, while the ingenious cap design earned Centdegrés the Fragrance Cap Award at the Formes de Luxe Awards 2024, recognizing a commitment to technical and sustainable innovation.
To embody Lacoste Original, the brand enlisted Pierre Niney, a celebrated French actor whose charisma, humor, and effortless style perfectly reflect the fragrance’s spirit. His presence reinforces the campaign’s renewed vision.
