The branding of an iconic product range

Herborist reinvented the packaging codes of its iconic skincare range and partnered with centdegrés to create a new collection, Tai Chi.

Owned by Jawha, one of the oldest Shanghai-based Chinese cosmetic groups, Herborist is a skincare brand inspired by Chinese herbal beauty principles and rituals. It is also the iconic Chinese brand, deeply rooted in Chinese culture, who succeeded to be exported and shine worldwide. In 2015, Herborist opened its first flagship store in Paris, Avenue de l’Opéra. A step in its commercial development establishing its reputation and legitimacy as a premium Chinese skin care brand. Commercial development continues with the rebranding of Herborist’s flagship line: Herborist Tai Chi.

Taichi is born from the art of (im)balance.

Blending traditional Chinese beauty knowledge with modern biotechnology, Herborist focuses on ancient Chinese herbal medicine and beauty rituals to gradually bring an ideal state of “nature and balance” according to Chinese culture to create legendary brands and products. Herborist invested and offered to its flagship line a unique brand territory and identity.

Alongside centdegrés, Herborist is launching at Sephora China its little sister ‘Herborist Tai Chi’ dressed in black and white, radically breaking with its traditional pharmacopoeia’s green codes.

Always looking for new creations and packaging innovations, Herborist explored the 3D printing technology to create the design of Tai Chi, already iconic.
