Lafuma, a name synonymous with outdoor adventure and timeless design, embarked on a transformative journey with Centdegrés in 1993—a partnership that has since defined the essence of the brand. Known for its innovative spirit and deep connection to nature, Lafuma sought a visual identity and design legacy that reflected its core values of simplicity, functionality, and harmony with the outdoors.
Centdegrés began by reimagining the brand’s logo, drawing inspiration from its original design while introducing a bold, modern twist. The unmistakable poplar leaf, seamlessly integrated as part of the logo, became a powerful symbol of Lafuma’s outdoor ethos. With its clean lines and structured simplicity, the updated logo captured the essence of nature while solidifying Lafuma's identity in the competitive outdoor market.
Building on this momentum, Centdegrés turned its attention to one of Lafuma’s most iconic products—the Relax chair. Originally created in 1957, this emblematic piece represented innovation in outdoor furniture. Collaborating closely with Lafuma’s ateliers, Centdegrés modernized the design, creating a chair that was not only lightweight and easy to fold but also infused with timeless aesthetics and manufacturing efficiency. This redesign ensured that the Relax chair remained at the forefront of outdoor furniture sales and a symbol of Lafuma’s ingenuity.
For nearly 30 years, Centdegrés has continued to co-create with Lafuma, crafting a brand legacy that bridges design innovation and functional simplicity.
